Somewhere along the way, wine got complicated. It grew a uniform — pressed linen, hushed rooms, glasses held just so — and started speaking a language designed to make you feel like you weren't invited to the party.
We think that's rubbish. Honestly. The idea that you need to travel to a sun-drenched Burgundian hillside, or sit in a candlelit cellar while someone talks at you about "minerality and structured tannins," just to enjoy a really good bottle? No thank you.

We fell in love with wine in Australia. Chased it across Europe. Tasted our way through cellars, festivals and sun-drenched vineyards — and worked out exactly what separates a good tasting from an unforgettable one.
